A leak on the customer's side of the meter is considered a private matter and is the responsibility of the property owner to repair. However, the City may provide a leak adjustment as a courtesy on one (1) bill not to exceed 50% of the leak portion of that bill. Leak adjustments are not provided for nonessential water to include, but not limited to, irrigation (sprinklers) systems, outdoor faucets, hot tubs, pools, fountains, aesthetic ponds, or fire hydrants. Leak adjustments are not required nor guaranteed to be granted for every request submitted, but rather are offered as a courtesy to our customers. An adjustment is only issued after the office receives a copy of the plumbing repair bill or receipts for parts that indicates what was repaired. Adjustments will be granted no more than once every 12 months.
Please attach copies of the service provider's invoice or receipt:
I, the undersigned, experienced a leak at the above service address. I have had the leak repaired, as evidenced by the attached receipt(s), and I am requesting an adjustment to my account. Further, I understand that only one (1) bill will be adjusted no more than 50% of the leak portion for that bill and an adjustment will not be granted if the leak was in relation to nonessential water use. I agree to keep my account in good standing, regardless of whether or not a leak adjustment is granted.
