Beginning in 2023, the City of Forney will no longer collect user fees from those organizations using City-owned facilities. Rather, the City has adopted a new resident/non-resident sports pass program. The cost per child in city limits is $10. For non-residents (outside of city limits), the cost is $50.
Those wishing to participate in any youth league will be required to purchase a sports pass through the Parks and Recreation Department. Each child will be required to have their own Sports Pass, however that pass will be valid for a year and will be valid for multiple sports.
The Sports Pass aims to eliminate excessive fees towards residents who may have children participating in multiple sports across the City.
