Election Day is Saturday, May 7, 2022.  The polling locations are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Click here to see the list of Voting Centers.  You can vote at any Voting Center. The Kaufman County Elections Administrator runs our election.  If you any questions regarding the election, please contact the Kaufman County Elections Administrator’s office at 469-376-4537.

In addition to the May 7, 2022, General Election, a Special Election will also be held for the purpose of voting on the adoption or rejection of a request that the City Council adopt Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 143, Municipal Civil Service for the Police Officers and Fire Fighters of the City of Forney.   

 Places 1, 3 and 5 are on the ballot for the May 7, 2022 General Election.   Candidates for these positions are:

 Place 1

James Traylor

Kalen Boren

 Place 3

Sandi Primous

Robbie Powers

 Place 5

Zahnd Schlensker (Unopposed)

 Early Voting

Early voting starts on Monday, April 25, 2022 and runs through May 3, 2022 – as follows:

 April 25 – 29          Monday – Friday               8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

April 30                  Saturday                           8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

May 1                    Sunday                              1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

May 2 – 3              Monday – Tuesday           7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
