[ARCHIVED] JAC Management Touches Down in Forney, Texas

JAC Management Group has inked a five-year agreement with The City of Forney, Texas to provide entertainment management services for their 3,600-seat Spellman Amphitheater. JAC Management Group will exclusively book all national touring entertainment at the facility. The agreement charges JAC with procuring and implementing a ticketing system, creating unique facility and event sponsorship opportunities, and with establishing and operating food and beverage services for all events. The City of Forney’s Parks Department will continue to maintain and operate the facility on non-event days as well as produce its own community events

through the city’s event department.

JAC will focus on bringing national touring acts to the city-owned facility. “We are looking forward to bringing first class entertainment to the City of Forney. We truly believe Spellman Amphitheater has so much to offer and will be a fantastic venue for concerts. We look forward to creating a great fan experience with everything from parking, to a variety of concession options, and demonstrating to guests that there is not a bad seat in the house” stated JAC President, Eric Ryan. “Boutique amphitheaters are a gem in the music and touring industry because of their intimate settings and unique landscapes and we feel that Spellman Amphitheater will be no different. We will work tirelessly to put Spellman Amphitheater and the City of Forney on the concert industry map.”

JAC Management Group is a private venue management company headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio that specializes in entertainment facility management consisting of all areas of operations, booking, food and beverage services, marketing and facility maintenance. JAC Management Group was founded in 2007 to manage The Covelli Centre, a $48-million, 7,500-seat arena in Youngstown, OH. They have managed the facility with operational profit for the last 12 years.

In 2014, JAC expanded into Warren, OH, a neighboring city, where they acquired their second facility, a 2,200-seat theater named Packard Music Hall. Under JAC’s management, the once widely underused facility is now in use for over 130 days per year including performances by countless national touring artists. In 2019, the company added an amphitheater to its resume, and they are currently relishing in the success of their first season at the newly constructed Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre. The boutique amphitheater’s first season consisted of acts such as Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, Rob Thomas, Brett Eldredge and more.

JAC is honored to add the Spellman Amphitheater in Forney, TX as the fourth venue under the firm’s direction. JAC uniquely offers venue management while simultaneously being able to produce and promote concerts and events through their JAC LIVE PRESENTS branch of their company. Formerly Eric Ryan Productions, founded in 1998, JAC Live predominately promotes and produces concerts and events in the venues that its subsidiary company, JAC Management Group, manages. JAC Live has expanded its industry reach throughout the country, and has promoted some of the largest acts in the world including Blake Shelton, Elton John, Florida Georgia Line, Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban, Barry Manilow, Bob Dylan, Brad Paisley, Def Leppard, Journey, Motley Crue, Lionel Richie and more!

The company is known throughout the music industry for managing facilities and promoting events/concerts in markets with strong competition nearby. Ken Bigley, Vice President of JAC stated “We have produced and promoted shows all over the country including cities in Texas such as Amarillo, Dallas and Corpus Christie, which has gotten us very familiar with the great state of Texas and its residents. Being so close to a top-five major market like Dallas will certainly bring forth challenges, but we feel that our familiarity with the area, as well as our experience promoting in a crowded market space will help to ensure our success. We recognize that Forney is an amazing city that is growing at a rapid pace, and we believe that it possesses a community that will embrace and support a venue and shows that they can call their own. We intend to work closely with the city and are eager to learn the tastes and preferences of this community and hope to build audiences for all genres of music right here in Forney.”

JAC Management Group Forney LLC will be based in Forney, TX and will work to enhance its relationships with local companies by employing sponsorship programs to make improvements and even add new features throughout the facility. “Developing this amphitheater alongside local companies is the only way to extend our reach into the community and bring as many people to the Spellman Amphitheater as possible. Our goal is foster activity and excitement throughout the entire city of Forney and engaging with local companies and organizations through sponsorship and partnerships will help us do just that” said Jordan Ryan, Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing.

JAC will soon be unveiling the ticketing system platform as well as some of its food and beverage service plans for the facility. They will be looking to engage local non-profits in their concession efforts, a practice which they have been successfully using at their other venues as a way to give back to the communities that support them. “We look forward to working with non-profits in Forney as a way to not only give back but also to become woven within the fabric of their community” said Eric Ryan.

JAC looks to make its first few show announcements by the beginning of the second quarter of this year. Ryan states, “We are currently in the process of finalizing agreements to engage promotors and artists representatives and intend to produce our first event in late spring. We are very excited to take on this new challenge and meet the great people of Forney, TX.” JAC plans to produce shows throughout the summer and into the fall. They are currently developing a website for the venue that will house show and facility information. Visit to sign up with your email address to receive upcoming show announcements and information.
