[ARCHIVED] Spots Still Remain for Citizens Police Academy

CPA Website

The Forney Police Department (FPD) is again offering its FREE Citizens Police Academy this Spring for Forney residents. The 14-week class begins February 11 and will offer residents a unique, hands-on experience of law enforcement practices such as active shoot situations, how detectives investigate cases, how traffic stops are conducted, and much more. The academy will also provide the opportunity for residents to learn about crime scene analysis in addition to the Patrol, Crime Investigation and Traffic divisions. The academy will serve as an educational experience and give residents an opportunity to build relationships with those who protect and serve the community. Classes will be held Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Forney Municipal Court, 331 S. FM 548, and limited to residents only. For more information or questions, please contact Detective Michael Clay at mclay@forneypd.org.
