Are you an older adult (age 60 or older), caregiver of an older adult, or a person concerned about aging issues? You are invited to attend a come-and-go public forum in the City of Forney, on Wednesday, July 10, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Forney Senior Center, 101 E. Main Street.
Those attending will have an opportunity to contribute suggestions and comments about the current and future needs of older adults and the programs and services that should be put in place to meet those needs. The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging (NCTAAA) is hosting the event and seeks your input to help develop an area plan which prioritizes services that will be provided during a two-year period that starts October 2021.
If you would like to provide input but are unable to attend one of the forums, please contact Doni Green, Director of Aging Programs, at 817-695-9193, or [email protected].
The NCTAAA is a regional agency funded by state and federal governments to deliver services to people age 60 and over and their family caregivers. Current services include home-delivered meals, transportation, information and referral, caregiver support, benefits counseling, and advocacy for nursing home residents.
The NCTAAA is a department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, a voluntary association of local governments that assists its members in planning for common needs. For more information, please contact Mike Hensley at 1-800-272-3921, ext. 7195.
