The City will be hosting the inaugural ‘Brews on Bois d’Arc’, a craft-beer inspired, live-music, FREE event, in historic Downtown Forney from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on October 5. The event will highlight the craft-beer trend and showcase several of the amazing breweries that North Texas has to offer. ‘Brews on Bois d’ Arc” will feature some of the area’s most accomplished craft breweries including Community Beer Co., Texas Ale Project, Peticolas Brewing Company and Oak Highlands Brewery. Additional breweries, when added, will be announced in the lead-up to the event.
This event is more than just a wide array of ale, with more than six hours of live music scheduled. As it stands, the City has produced an eclectic lineup of live music that will be playing on the Main St. stage beginning at noon and continue throughout the event. The set list includes local bands ‘Southern Weather’, ‘Webb Avenue’ and headliner ‘Booty and the Hoefish’, along with Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band “Texas Flood” and blues vocalist “Texas Johnny Boy”.
In addition to craft beer and live music, the event will also host a number of local and regional food vendors and trucks along Bois d’ Arc as well as balloon artists and face painters for children. All food and alcohol at the event will be available for purchase.
