Forney is one of the fastest growing cities in the state. While that growth is impressive, the challenges also are expanding. We need to address our roads and general infrastructure to accommodate that growth. We need to make sure our city’s budget addresses our core functions and growing needs. We also need to improve the morale of our police and fire departments. That means being competitive on pay and working conditions to keep great talent.
I have a track record of promoting transparency and chronicling business growth. For more than 20 years, I’ve been involved in corporate communications, as an award-winning business journalist and marketing executive. Today, I own The Marketing MAB, an agency that produces case studies, whitepapers and ghostwrites books for business clients. A big part of preparing Forney for the future starts with properly telling its story.
I have an MBA from Texas Christian University and a BA in journalism from the University of North Texas. Nearly 20 years ago, I married my college sweetheart Takisha Roberson, who has blessed me with two amazing school-age children.
