The 50/50 Sidewalk Assistance Program is offered to property owners in the City of Forney to replace or repair existing sidewalks throughout the city used for public pedestrian access.

- Upon receipt, the Public Works Department Field Operations Supervisor or his designee will make a site assessment visit to determine the square footage of sidewalk that will need to be replaced. After the assessment, you will be notified via email or mail, as designated on your form, of the findings and total cost associated.
- Property owners will then have 30 days to accept the assessment and submit their portion of the cost. Upon receipt of the signed acceptance form and property owner assessment fee portion, we will give a notice to proceed to either our field staff or the 3rd party contractor. If you are a candidate for the 50/50 Sidewalk Replacement Program a minimum dollar amount has to be met in order for the 3rd party contractor to mobilize. If the minimum is not met at the time of acceptance we will put your address on a list and notify you when the work will begin.
