Fire Marshal Division
The City of Forney Fire Marshal's office provides the leadership and inspection services to help prevent fires and assure fire and life safety for the people who live, work and visit Forney. The members of the Fire Marshal's Division are dedicated to the protection of our community through critical key mission areas that include, inspections, public education and fire investigations.

Fire & Building Codes
The City of Forney has adopted the following business codes:

- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Fire Code
Fire & Safety Inspections
Fire safety inspections are designed to protect life and property by identifying unsafe conditions or practices. As a courtesy to the residents of Forney, a home fire safety inspection will be conducted at the homeowner's/occupant's request.
Fire Investigations
The Office of the Fire Marshal investigates the cause, origin and circumstance of every fire that occurs within the city limits where property has been destroyed or damaged. Further, the Office of the Fire Marshal investigates whether fires are the result of carelessness or design.
