Founders' Day

The City of Forney is proud to announce its inaugural Founders’ Day Celebration on June 10th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Downtown Forney. This family-friendly event is an opportunity for residents and visitors to celebrate the city's heritage and culture, and to show their appreciation for the area's history and traditions.

Along with variety of antique and food vendors, Founders’ Day will feature a number of exciting activities, including a Best Lawn Competition, a Best Train Horn Impression Contest, a Best Pecan Pie Contest, a Dessert Auction, and a Chili Cook-Off. Whether you're a resident, a local business owner, or a visitor, there's something for everyone at this year's celebration. These activities are all free to participate in, but will have limited spaces. Registration to sign-up for these activities will open on February 20^th so stay tuned!
